The programme is designed to equip aspiring content creators with practical skills in digital storytelling while encouraging content that promotes positive family values, meaningful communication and responsible online engagement. The initiative is part of the UAE’s broader efforts to encourage high-quality digital content that reflects the country’s social priorities.

Four-week training followed by long-term mentorship

The programme will begin with a four-week training course, where participants will receive hands-on instruction in key areas of content creation. The curriculum includes storytelling, scriptwriting, photography, video production, editing, publishing strategies, audience engagement and digital performance analysis.

After completing the initial training, selected participants will advance to a seven-month incubation programme. During this phase, they will receive mentoring from industry professionals and practical guidance to strengthen their creative skills and develop a sustainable digital presence.

Strong public interest in the initiative

The programme has attracted considerable interest from aspiring creators across the UAE. According to the organisers, more than 500 applications were received for the first intake, with 62 participants selected to join the initial training phase.

The selected group includes individuals with different levels of experience, creating an opportunity for participants to learn from experts while contributing a variety of perspectives to family-focused digital content.

Promoting responsible digital storytelling

The Ministry of Family said the programme aims to encourage creators to produce content that strengthens family relationships, promotes mutual respect and contributes positively to society.

As digital platforms continue to shape how people communicate and consume information, the initiative seeks to help creators develop professional skills while encouraging responsible online practices and thoughtful storytelling.

Partnership brings together family and media expertise

The programme is being delivered through a partnership between the Ministry of Family and the New Media Academy, an institution specialising in digital media education and innovation.

Participants will receive training from experienced professionals and gain practical knowledge that can be applied across different social media platforms. The collaboration is intended to prepare creators with the technical and creative skills needed to produce engaging and responsible digital content.

Supporting the next generation of creators

Through structured training and ongoing mentorship, the Family Content Creators Programme aims to help emerging creators build confidence and strengthen their professional capabilities. Organisers say the initiative is intended to encourage meaningful content that supports families while contributing to a more positive digital environment.

Further information about future editions of the programme and application opportunities is expected to be announced through the official channels of the Ministry of Family and the New Media Academy.
