Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, ‘Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei’ has called on all the motorists to abide with the traffic laws and regulations. This announcement was made to urge all motorists to avoid random parking in front of mosques during Taraweeh prayers in the last leg of Ramadan.
Major General Saif has also highlighted how breaking the rules and parking vehicles randomly by in front of mosques causes traffic congestion, unusual traffic jams and road closures. This affects other road users, especially in residential areas or close to main roads.
Furthermore, during prayer times in the holy month of Ramadan, traffic patrols around prayer grounds and mosques have been directed to intensify the strict enforcement measures against drivers who commit various violations.

Major General Saif further confirmed the department’s promise to providing all possible means of comfort for road users during Ramadan. He also coaxed cooperation with the Dubai police to benefit the community as a whole by cooperating with the public whenever they report improper traffic practices.
