Dubai, the metropolitan city of UAE, which also outperforms many other cities such as New York, Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur in terms of the sheer number of inbound tourists expected to arrive this year, is expecting to draw 10 million international visitors this year, representing a growth rate of 20.2 per cent when compared to 2021, the recently released report from Global Media Insight, shows.
Despite the regional unrest and post-pandemic consideration, Dubai hotels have been reporting brisk occupancy rates over the past few months. The reason of this could be the big events that are happening this year including the Dubai Expo 2020, and Dubai Food Festival.
The rankings, based on economic activity, the political power, quality of life and knowledge and influence, showed Dubai is moving up in the global tourist attraction places index.
