Talking about the importance of sticking to a diet regime, Shomookh shares, “Sticking to a diet regime is all about being loyal to what you eat. If you can stick to a particular diet for a long period of time, definitely go for it depending on your fitness goals.”
To meet your fitness goals, you need to consume high-protein foods like eggs, chicken, meat and whey proteins. Additionally, carbohydrates like bread and rice should be replaced with complex carbs like beans, brown rice and other veggies.
As a leading fitness personality in Dubai, Shomookh sees her fair share of social media fuelled fitness trends. While she says they’re also fun to watch, she also points out that it’s equally important to differentiate between “clickbait” fitness and the social-media-led fitness trends that can actually translate offline.
