The UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) and the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority of Oman have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in oversight and governance. The agreement was formalised in Abu Dhabi during a meeting between Humaid Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAEAA, and Sheikh Ghosn Hilal Al Alawi, Chairman of Oman’s authority.
The MoU highlights both nations’ commitment to consolidating the principles of transparency, integrity, and accountability, while reinforcing their shared goal of safeguarding public funds and supporting sustainable development. By enhancing joint cooperation, the two authorities aim to exchange expertise, develop audit practices, and promote a culture of good governance across both countries.
This strategic partnership also reflects the UAE and Oman’s broader vision of aligning with international standards in governance and financial accountability. Similar global initiatives by the World Bank
and Transparency International underline the growing importance of collaboration in strengthening public sector integrity.
The agreement is expected to pave the way for deeper bilateral relations and stronger institutional frameworks. For more updates on UAE governance and regional developments, visit Dubai Announcer Politics and explore related insights in Dubai.
